A Mountain Holds an Echo

(from Rumi -"a mountain holds an echo deep inside itself, that's how I hold your voice.")

This is a personal project. I was married to an Iranian man for 30 years before he died of colon cancer. Mohammad's life in the USA was shaped by his attachment to Iran. Although he connected to people in our immediate circle, he never connected to American culture at large. The intention of this book is to put the arc of Mohammad's life in the context of the longing he had for his country. This book contains narrative text, family photographs and photographs from a trip to Iran in 2010.
